Laser Vision Correction can reduce your dependency on glasses and contacts.
We can. at this time, correct people who are nearsighted, farsighted or who have a stigmatism. This technology has a track record of success. Imagine waking up at night and not having to grope for your glasses to check the time.

Imagine
coming out of the shower and being able to see your face in the bathroom mirror. Imagine having clear, natural vision without glasses or contacts.
Freedom from optical devices is not a fantasy. It is often an reality.

Myopia and
Hyperopia   (click image to enlarge)

These procedures can correct near-sightedness (myopia)far-sightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism. In each of these conditions vision is poor because light does not focus on the retina in a discrete location. By bringing light into focus on the retina we are able to achieve visual improvement.

In myopia, or near-sightedness, light falls short of the retinal surface. The cause of this is either too long an eyeball or too steep a cornea. To correct this with a laser the cornea is flattened centrally allowing light to focus further back within the eye.

Far-sightedness is the result of having light focus behind the retina. This is the result of either too short an eyeball or too flat a cornea. To correct this the cornea may be stipend with the excimer laser. This is accomplished by creating a "moat" around the central corneal tissue.

Astigmatism

Astigmatism is a consequence of having multiple points of focus within the eye. This creates blur. This results most commonly from having a cornea, which has different curvatures at different locations within it. To correct this the cornea can be reshaped to bring a more regular symmetry to it and allow the light to be focused at a single point within the eye.

The two techniques, which can accomplish this with the excimer laser, are called photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and laser assisted in-situ keratomelieusis (LASIK).

What our patients are saying…

"I would never have imagined six months ago when I scheduled my routine eye exam that in a few short weeks I would see so clearly…I am enjoying swimming, snow skiing, driving my convertible and many other activities as never before possible. Not having to wear my contact lenses or glasses is like a miracle." - Denise V., Littleton

"…I was very impressed with the knowledge of the staff. It has been a year since my PRK and it is by far one of the best things I have done for myself." - Brenda R., Akron

"…The seminar was informative and many of my questions were answered. I made an appointment! …I cannot describe the emotions I felt. My eyesite was so dramatically changed…having worn glasses since I was 8 years old, I am thrilled with my vision and my freedom." - Patrick C., Littleton

"I had PRK two months after my husband. I am still amazed at the things I can see. I love the freedom from glasses." - Sue C., Littleton

"…I feel a sense of freedom…great confidence in Dr. Margolis." - Lee S., Highlands Ranch

"I travel quite a bit and it is truly wonderful to see the world through "new eyes"….not to mention that it's easier not having to pack all the old contact stuff." - Frances L., Golden

"…Your upfront, honest manner is not only appreciated, but put me very much as ease with the procedure." - Pam T., Highlands Ranch
